Congratulations to the marketing team from Crest Industries who earned top recognition in the Gulf South for the company’s marketing and communications work in 2020.
The Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF)is a premiere organization for communications professionals in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and each year they recognize the region’s best projects and programs through the Lantern Awards program.
“A Lantern winner is a beacon of public relations excellence,” says SPRF Awards Chair, Cindy Webster from NASA. “Submissions are scored on their individual merit based on strategic planning that demonstrates excellence in process and results.”
The Crest team took home a Lantern Award for the History Proves video campaign designed to boost morale in the Central Louisiana community that had begun to dip as the effects of Covid-19 stretched on longer than expected.
“Our core values are the heart of our organization, and we wanted to showcase them to our local community in a way that we can all identify with as Americans,” says Lindsey Launius, Crest’s Director of Marketing & Communications. “We selected three themes to highlight that were relevant to everyone during the trying time: innovation, perseverance, and strength.”
“History Proves became a rallying call– a reminder of our strength and resiliency, and a message of thanks to our dedicated teams, customers, frontline workers and community members,” said Andy Miller, Crest Creative Services Manager, producer and videographer of the video ad series.
The team earned three other awards in the program including Awards of Excellence for their Covid-19 Response, the DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations 2020 Purpose & Values Campaign, and the 2020 Virtual State of the Business Meeting live broadcast.
The teams at Crest Industries use opportunities like this awards program to gain feedback from seasoned professionals across the country and lean into the company’s strong ideals of continuous improvement and innovation within all areas of business.
