Friday, Aug. 23, 2024 - Rapides Regional Medical Center announces Crest Industries as the recipient of the Community Benefit Award during the 2024 Central Louisiana Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala.

“Community Benefit is an important part of what we do at Rapides Regional Medical Center. […] That’s why we recognize when other businesses are doing hard work in improving and investing in Central Louisiana as well,” said Justin Shiver, Chief Operating Officer at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

The Crest team values hands-on experiences and opportunities to promote healthy communities, youth empowerment, workforce education, and entrepreneurship & leadership in every community they serve.

“[Crest Industries] has a nationwide presence but has always remembered its roots are firmly planted here in Central Louisiana,” Shiver continued. “Since its founding in 1958 on MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, they have believed in winning together, doing the right thing and celebrating those around them.”

Within the past year, the Crest Family of Companies contributed significant time and funding to 14 elementary, high school, and collegiate STEM and manufacturing programs, participated in more than 40 community events, and contributed more than $200,000 to local non-profit organizations.

“[Crest] has more than 25 long-standing partnerships, [and] is active in local causes – everything from employees ringing bells for the Salvation Army, raising money for Wounded War Heroes, or grabbing a paddle to compete in the Louisiana Dragon Boat Races to support the Alexandria Museum of Art. To list everything would take much, much longer,” Shiver concluded.
