On Nov. 30, DIS-TRANSteel, one of the country’s leading steel pole manufacturers, celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony of its new pole production facility in Fayette County, Ohio. The Louisiana-based company moved into an existing facility in Washington Court House, Ohio, and quickly began production of tapered tubular steel poles in February of 2021.
“This ribbon-cutting isn’t the beginning of our work at the Ohio plant, but it’s a celebration of all the progress we’ve made together,” says Crest Industries CEO and Owner Kenneth Robison. “In 2020, we saw the opportunity and potential the area brought to our teams, our company, and our industry as a whole, and we’ve only seen that opportunity and potential grow since expanding our operations here.”
“There is a strong demand for steel to maintain and expand the electrical grid, and Washington Courthouse is strategically the best location for DIS-TRAN Steel to grow not just our products and services, but also our team, and that’s very exciting,” says Donnie Roberts, PE, President of DIS-TRAN Steel.
