Congratulations to Carl Jackson! Carl helps operate Millennium Galvanizing’s kettle. Carl is focused, embraces teamwork, and has truly risen to ANY and ALL challenges he’s faced with. His teammates say he has gone out of his comfort zone to learn and grow within Millennium Galvanizing. Carl's growth is noticed and his impact is highly felt within our culture.
Congratulations to Roger Arnold, Steel Designer III from DTS. Roger was nominated by MULTIPLE teammates – each of them making note of his calm patience, reliability, quality of work, and overall, his ownership of doing the right thing. His teammate, Heather Blalock says, “When I first started, another co-worker advised me to “Be Like Roger,” and I’ve been trying to do that ever since. Our teams at Crest are beyond thankful to have Carl as a teammate who exemplifies our values to the fullest.
Congratulations to John Hutcherson, Site Manager at Optimal Field Services. MULTIPLE teammates nominated John for continuously empowering and challenging those around him. He does not just lead; he teaches and helps his teammates grow within the company. He’s honest, transparent, and can both admit and learn from his mistakes. While in the field, John’s competitive instinct is a huge asset to the team as Optimal competes - and WINS - against giants in their industry.
Crest is pleased to announce we have TWO Culture Champions for the month of March, Keith Henry and David Harrington from the Proposal Team at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations. These two created a brand-new procedure within the proposal development process and its impact is ringing loud and clear. Congratulations to Keith and David!
Robert is a great example of our values in action! As St. Jude’s Heroes, he and his son Landon raise funds for the children’s cancer research center and the families receiving treatment there in honor of his late wife, Monica, who passed away from cancer. Robert champions the phrase “rise to the challenge,” and he focuses on building lasting relationships and supporting his team to make sure we can all win together both in the community and across the Crest Family.
Crystal was nominated by her coworker, Diana St. Romain, who said, “I couldn't think of a better person to recognize for her eleven-year commitment to the company and constant dedication to making sure customers and freight companies are satisfied.” We are excited to recognize the hard work you do, the positive attitude you keep, and your willingness to go out of the way to help others in need.
Calvin was nominated by Donald Lachney and Todd Jennings who said Calvin is a hard worker and adapts easily when challenges arise. With 32 years of welding experience and 6 years as a certified welding inspector, Calvin has been instrumental in making sure optimal meets their zero percent weld reject rate, zero percent re-work, and one-hundred percent leak free start-ups by using his leadership skills to coach and mentor other quality control and field personnel.
Andrew had multiple nominators who shared how he is a reliable team player, hardworking, and eager to help when challenges arise. Andrew is passionately helping to build the culture at packages, celebrating others for the work they do, and volunteering for events in the community. He embodies our values of winning together and rising to the challenge, and DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations values of be who you are and give.
Tim was nominated for showing what it means to win together. One of his nominators, Kyle Arnold says, “aside from his exceptional technical expertise, and uncanny ability to think outside of the box, Tim understands the importance of “being an attentive ear” for his teammates and how deeply he cares about the morale and well-being of his coworkers.” He brings new ideas to the table and is a champion for his team members at beta and throughout the crest family.
