The Crest Industries Culture Corps is a group of team members nominated and recognized by their peers as examples of our Values in action. Each month, one member of the Culture Corps is recognized as a Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers and communities grow beyond what we believe is possible. These Culture Champions receive the “Walkie-Talkie Award” for their commitment to walking the talk and living our our Values every day.

Shannon joined the Crest HR team in 2021 and hit the ground running directing multiple projects, initiatives and large-scale rollouts and system upgrades within her first year on the job. Her nominator, Kari Snoody, shares that “Shannon goes above and beyond for everyone she works with. I can approach her with anything – Whether it be work related or something going on in my personal life, she always guides me in the right direction. She is such a joy to work with and is the living definition of what Crest’s Core Values.” Shannon – we’re incredibly proud to have you on our team; thank you for everything you do to keep us made for the challenge.
Cory has been a key part of the E&D team at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations for more than 3 years. Cory’s coworkers, supervisor, and DTPS leaders agree that his perseverance and dedication are an incredible asset to the DTPS team, especially over the last few months. They share how his tenacity and ability to get things done with a high level of team spirit are helping to lead the team in the right direction. Jeremy Harding, Substation Design Manager, and Zeb Bryant, E&D Team Leader, share that “[Cory and the E&D team’s] perseverance and ownership over the last month is a key reason we are in a position to succeed. Chandra has been a part of Optimal and Crest Industries for almost 2 years, and she has made a great impact on the OFS crew in Geismar since joining the team there. Her nominator, Darnell Gremillion, Purchasing Agent at Optimal, shares that “Chandra deserves a huge shout out for all she does for the team. She works hard every day to make a difference and rise to the challenge, and she’s a big part of all we do.” Chandra, thank you for everything you do to support our teams and live our values every day – Congratulations!
Congratulations to Nikki Edwards on being inducted into the Crest Culture Corps for the month of July and being named Culture Champion! Nikki is a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Crest and works directly with the DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations’ team to recruit and retain our most valuable asset, our people. Nikki brings incredible passion to our teams across Crest Industries. For so many of Crest’s team members, Nikki is the source of encouragement, information, and support from the time they applied, to their first day on the job, and beyond. Her teammates say that she is a great example of “doing the right thing,” “winning together,” “questioning the status quo,” and “rising to the challenge.” Nikki shows true leadership by empowering and supporting our teams across Crest and goes out of her way to galvanize and celebrate her team.
Crest is pleased to announce we have TWO Culture Champions for the month of March, Keith Henry and David Harrington from the Proposal Team at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations. These two created a brand-new procedure within the proposal development process and its impact is ringing loud and clear. Congratulations to Keith and David!
Robert is a great example of our values in action! As St. Jude’s Heroes, he and his son Landon raise funds for the children’s cancer research center and the families receiving treatment there in honor of his late wife, Monica, who passed away from cancer. Robert champions the phrase “rise to the challenge,” and he focuses on building lasting relationships and supporting his team to make sure we can all win together both in the community and across the Crest Family.
Julie’s nominators share that she is an incredible asset to the Packages team, not just for the work she does to support the various projects for customers, but for also making the culture at packages inclusive, fun and welcoming. Renee Harwell shares that Julie’s dedication to the team and eagerness to help out, whenever she can, make her an incredible teammate, coworker, and friend.
Joe’s team and nominator, Kacie Leblanc, talk about how he works hard and steps up to the plate to be sure our team at MG can deliver for our customers and other team members. Even if it falls outside his job description, Joe will take on additional tasks to help the team meet deadlines. He makes an effort to learn more about our company and recognizes the connection between what he does every day and achieving our purpose and company goals.
Congratulations to Jeannette Corley, Office Specialist at Mid-State Supply, for being inducted into Crest's Culture Corps! Her nominators, Vickie Glen and Robert Anderson, say that she is vital to the success of Mid-State and instrumental in taking care of our teams and customers. She leads by example and is always ready to step in if her teammates need her support. Congratulations to Courtnie Ivy on being inducted to the Crest Industries Culture Corps! Courtnie, Project Support Specialist at Beta, joined the Crest Family earlier this year, and from day one she has been a passionate advocate for the Crest Family. With an eye for continuous improvement, she is not afraid to question “why” and look for innovative ways to solve a problem or reach a goal.
