Each month, one member of the Culture Corps is recognized as a Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers and communities grow beyond what we believe is possible. These Culture Champions receive the “Walkie-Talkie Award” for their commitment to walking the talk and living our our Values every day.

Congratulations to Nu Le, Financial Systems Analyst at Crest Operations, on her induction into Culture Corps! Nu is a great example of owning doing the right thing and winning together. She is very active with our teams both in the office and at community events to support charities and organizations in central Louisiana. Her nominator Tyler Pasche says that “Nu will go above and beyond to make sure our teams’ needs are met.” She is dedicated to making sure our team members and business units have what they need to succeed, deliver results, and win together. Each month, we recognize a member of the Culture Corps as Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts to help our teams, customers, and communities grow beyond what they believe is possible, and Josh embodies that within our team. He has been integral in starting up operations and research at Avant Organics. The work he performs in the lab, his dedication and ability to follow through, lead our teams, and rise to meet the challenges and high standards of the industry are inspiring to the team. Wesley Fontenot shared that Josh is a true go-getter and innovative problem solver within the team. He says, “as an R&D chemist, [Josh] represents the heartbeat of this company and continuously provides new ideas [and he’s] a constant source of innovation that is invaluable to Avant and Crest.” Josh, thank you for being a great example of doing the right thing, winning together, and questioning the status quo. Josh is a vital part of our Avant and Crest Family, and we are lucky to have him on our team. Congratulations again!
In less than a year as a part of the Mid-State team and Crest Family, Nick has showcased a strong dedication to serving our customers, supporting our teams, and living our values through the work he does each day. His nominator, Laura Jolly, says that he “learns quickly and has done a great job in the vending area of our warehouse,” and Tony Loken agreed whole-heartedly saying that Nick is a great example of our values in action. Nick, thank you for everything you do to support our teams and put our values into action each day!
Logan's coworkers and supervisors have commented about how his positive attitude, willingness to help, and ability to tackle new challenges have positively impacted Beta, Crest Industries as a whole, and the people around him. Marcus Miller shares that he has been “an amazing resource full of knowledge[…],” and how he believes he is “in a better position to perform my job duties today because of the kindness and willingness to aid that Logan has provided me.” Chris Willcut explains that whether it’s working with other teams to expand his knowledge and abilities or working with vendors to make sure they stay on schedule and within their budgets, Logan is “always up to the challenge.” We are lucky to have you on our teams. Congratulations to Nikki Edwards on being inducted into the Crest Culture Corps for the month of July and being named Culture Champion! Nikki is a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Crest and works directly with the DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations’ team to recruit and retain our most valuable asset, our people. Nikki brings incredible passion to our teams across Crest Industries. For so many of Crest’s team members, Nikki is the source of encouragement, information, and support from the time they applied, to their first day on the job, and beyond. Her teammates say that she is a great example of “doing the right thing,” “winning together,” “questioning the status quo,” and “rising to the challenge.” Nikki shows true leadership by empowering and supporting our teams across Crest and goes out of her way to galvanize and celebrate her team.
Kacie is the embodiment of rising to the challenge and shows true leadership by empowering and supporting her team at MG. She encourages them to communicate effectively, build skills, and expand their work experiences to grow and pull together as a team. When presented with new ideas or projects, she asks all of the right questions to understand why things are done the way they are and if they can be done better. She often presents new ideas or methods to perform tasks, improve efficiency, or solve a problem for the company. But even more importantly, she also makes everyone feel valued and part of the team and focuses on winning together and supporting the MG and Crest Family wherever she can.
Congratulations to Jimmy Eubanks, Inventory Manager for DIS-TRAN Steel. Jimmy has been with DIS-TRAN Steel and Crest Industries for more than two decades! With his 20 years of experience, without a doubt, he is a huge asset to Crest’s team. Jimmy has many connections and has purchased steel in just about every market. However, it is Jimmy’s ability to lead through influence and live out our Crest Values that help enable DIS-TRAN Steel to succeed on an unlimited scale. Jimmy’s competitive. He’s determined and rises to every challenge. His teammates say it best, “Jimmy is Jimmy and that’s why we all like Jimmy.” Crest is thankful to have Jimmy as a member of its Crest family.
Crest is pleased to announce we have TWO Culture Champions for the month of March, Keith Henry and David Harrington from the Proposal Team at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations. These two created a brand-new procedure within the proposal development process and its impact is ringing loud and clear. Congratulations to Keith and David!
Emily exceeds expectations in the many tasks and responsibilities she manages while passionately serving our legal team and the entire Crest Family of Companies. Emily doesn’t hesitate to go above and beyond by recognizing the needs of our team and working to find tailored solutions to problems while empowering others to succeed along the way.
When it comes to Winning together and celebrating success, Cedrick is the guy for the job! Cedric always makes himself available to support and teach new hires when they join the team. He is dedicated to his work, doing the right thing, and leading by example. Cedric has also been one of the most active participants in our Culture Corps program. He’s eager to celebrate and recognize his teammates for the work they do and the way they “walk the talk” each day. Congratulations to Eric White, Production Supervisor for DIS-TRAN Steel Ohio. And both his nominator, Wendy Gintz, and supervisor, Alex Brouillette, share how Eric has stepped up in countless ways to ensure the company’s long-term vision comes to fruition. Industry and product knowledge are incredibly valuable in Steel’s manufacturing processes. Eric recognized the struggles DIS-TRAN Steel Ohio was going through without having someone on-site with the same level of experience we have in Pineville, so he made a huge investment and moved more than 900 miles to Washington Courthouse to help that team grow into the production facility DIS-TRAN Steel needs to be successful. Eric, thank you for being a true example of rising to the challenge. We are incredibly lucky to have you on our team!
Congratulations to Courtnie Ivy on being inducted to the Crest Industries Culture Corps! Courtnie, Project Support Specialist at Beta, joined the Crest Family earlier this year, and from day one she has been a passionate advocate for the Crest Family. With an eye for continuous improvement, she is not afraid to question “why” and look for innovative ways to solve a problem or reach a goal.
