The Crest Industries Culture Corps is a group of team members nominated and recognized by their peers as examples of our Values in action. Each month, one member of the Culture Corps is recognized as a Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers and communities grow beyond what we believe is possible. These Culture Champions receive the “Walkie-Talkie Award” for their commitment to walking the talk and living our our Values every day.

Congratulations to Nu Le, Financial Systems Analyst at Crest Operations, on her induction into Culture Corps! Nu is a great example of owning doing the right thing and winning together. She is very active with our teams both in the office and at community events to support charities and organizations in central Louisiana. Her nominator Tyler Pasche says that “Nu will go above and beyond to make sure our teams’ needs are met.” She is dedicated to making sure our team members and business units have what they need to succeed, deliver results, and win together. s Help Desk Manager, Curtis is integral to our company and has key support for all of our team members. He truly lives our values each day by rising to the challenges he and our team members face, thinking outside the box, and leading our IT Help Desk to solve the problems others shy away from. He has stepped up to the plate during times of transition, policy change, and process implementation. His teammate and nominator, Daylon Bozeman, shared that “Curtis is an exemplary person to work alongside. He is constantly providing valuable input regarding decisions about our infrastructure and how we can better support all of the business units. His work ethic is unparalleled. While taking on new roles, Curtis is also pursuing additional certifications to allow him to progress. Since joining our Crest Family, Kyla has consistently proven to be a dedicated, passionate, and talented addition to our teams. She has stepped up in the face of challenges and new opportunities, and our teams are better for it. Her team members shared how she leaves an impact on them both personally and professionally, by saying that “without her guidance and coaching, I would not be as successful in my position. Her positivity and personable nature make the job enjoyable, and I want to come to work every day. Logan's coworkers and supervisors have commented about how his positive attitude, willingness to help, and ability to tackle new challenges have positively impacted Beta, Crest Industries as a whole, and the people around him. Marcus Miller shares that he has been “an amazing resource full of knowledge[…],” and how he believes he is “in a better position to perform my job duties today because of the kindness and willingness to aid that Logan has provided me.” Chris Willcut explains that whether it’s working with other teams to expand his knowledge and abilities or working with vendors to make sure they stay on schedule and within their budgets, Logan is “always up to the challenge.” We are lucky to have you on our teams. Jenny has been with the team for more than 30 years. Her dedication to doing what she says, winning together, and turning challenges into successes is something to be applauded! With teammates across the country and multiple projects happening at once, Jenny goes above and beyond to assist anyone in need at any time.
Congratulations to our Culture Champion for October, Kristal Ducote! Kristal is the Procurement and Billing Supervisor at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, and she has made an incredible impact on our teams while living our values and inspiring those around her. Kristal was nominated by several people throughout the past few months, and they all commented on her passion, positive attitude, and commitment to our teams and values. Kristal is no stranger to vulnerability and rising to the challenge. From taking on new opportunities to facing personal struggles, her resilience is undeniable, and we are excited to celebrate her example of vulnerability, trust, and perseverance!

He has been integral in starting up operations and research at Avant Organics. The work he performs in the lab, his dedication and ability to follow through, lead our teams, and rise to meet the challenges and high standards of the industry are inspiring to the team. Wesley Fontenot shared that Josh is a true go-getter and innovative problem solver within the team. He says, “as an R&D chemist, [Josh] represents the heartbeat of this company and continuously provides new ideas [and he’s] a constant source of innovation that is invaluable to Avant and Crest.” Josh, thank you for being a great example of doing the right thing, winning together, and questioning the status quo. Josh is a vital part of our Avant and Crest Family, and we are lucky to have him on our team. Congratulations again!

For August, our Culture Champion is Herman Norris, Warehouse Leader at Mid-State Supply. The entire Sales Team at MSS came together to nominate Herman and spotlight him for his dedication to living our values in the work he does each day. The team shares that Herman is the go-to example for living out MSS and Crest’s purpose and values – especially while dealing with the demanding requests and unexpected challenges that come with serving Mid-State’s customers.
Julie’s nominators share that she is an incredible asset to the Packages team, not just for the work she does to support the various projects for customers, but for also making the culture at packages inclusive, fun and welcoming. Renee Harwell shares that Julie’s dedication to the team and eagerness to help out, whenever she can, make her an incredible teammate, coworker, and friend.
Joe’s team and nominator, Kacie Leblanc, talk about how he works hard and steps up to the plate to be sure our team at MG can deliver for our customers and other team members. Even if it falls outside his job description, Joe will take on additional tasks to help the team meet deadlines. He makes an effort to learn more about our company and recognizes the connection between what he does every day and achieving our purpose and company goals.
Congratulations to Jeannette Corley, Office Specialist at Mid-State Supply, for being inducted into Crest's Culture Corps! Her nominators, Vickie Glen and Robert Anderson, say that she is vital to the success of Mid-State and instrumental in taking care of our teams and customers. She leads by example and is always ready to step in if her teammates need her support. Congratulations to Courtnie Ivy on being inducted to the Crest Industries Culture Corps! Courtnie, Project Support Specialist at Beta, joined the Crest Family earlier this year, and from day one she has been a passionate advocate for the Crest Family. With an eye for continuous improvement, she is not afraid to question “why” and look for innovative ways to solve a problem or reach a goal.
