The Crest Industries Culture Corps is a group of team members nominated and recognized by their peers as examples of our Values in action. Each month, one member of the Culture Corps is recognized as a Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers and communities grow beyond what we believe is possible. These Culture Champions receive the “Walkie-Talkie Award” for their commitment to walking the talk and living our our Values every day.

Since joining our Crest Family, Kyla has consistently proven to be a dedicated, passionate, and talented addition to our teams. She has stepped up in the face of challenges and new opportunities, and our teams are better for it. Her team members shared how she leaves an impact on them both personally and professionally, by saying that “without her guidance and coaching, I would not be as successful in my position. s Help Desk Manager, Curtis is integral to our company and has key support for all of our team members. He truly lives our values each day by rising to the challenges he and our team members face, thinking outside the box, and leading our IT Help Desk to solve the problems others shy away from. He has stepped up to the plate during times of transition, policy change, and process implementation. His teammate and nominator, Daylon Bozeman, shared that “Curtis is an exemplary person to work alongside. He is constantly providing valuable input regarding decisions about our infrastructure and how we can better support all of the business units. His work ethic is unparalleled. While taking on new roles, Curtis is also pursuing additional certifications to allow him to progress. For August, our Culture Champion is Herman Norris, Warehouse Leader at Mid-State Supply. The entire Sales Team at MSS came together to nominate Herman and spotlight him for his dedication to living our values in the work he does each day. The team shares that Herman is the go-to example for living out MSS and Crest’s purpose and values – especially while dealing with the demanding requests and unexpected challenges that come with serving Mid-State’s customers.

Chandra has been a part of Optimal and Crest Industries for almost 2 years, and she has made a great impact on the OFS crew in Geismar since joining the team there. Her nominator, Darnell Gremillion, Purchasing Agent at Optimal, shares that “Chandra deserves a huge shout out for all she does for the team. Crest is pleased to announce we have TWO Culture Champions for the month of March, Keith Henry and David Harrington from the Proposal Team at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations. These two created a brand-new procedure within the proposal development process and its impact is ringing loud and clear. Congratulations to Keith and David!
Robert is a great example of our values in action! As St. Jude’s Heroes, he and his son Landon raise funds for the children’s cancer research center and the families receiving treatment there in honor of his late wife, Monica, who passed away from cancer. Robert champions the phrase “rise to the challenge,” and he focuses on building lasting relationships and supporting his team to make sure we can all win together both in the community and across the Crest Family.
Todd has been a part of the CNR team for over 16 years, and he has proven his dedication to the team and our values countless times! His team member said that Todd is “always reliable, hardworking, and not afraid to get his hands dirty or to find a better way of doing things.”
Ben Parker, MG’s Plant Manager, shares that Tina goes above and beyond to help her team members, and she always does it with a smile. He says he has never heard her tell anyone no for anything. She does her job well, and she also reaches out to help her co-workers when they have a bad day. Her trademark small acts of kindness have made her a joy to be around and a wonderful team member.
Congratulations to Nu Le, Financial Systems Analyst at Crest Operations, on her induction into Culture Corps! Nu is a great example of owning doing the right thing and winning together. She is very active with our teams both in the office and at community events to support charities and organizations in central Louisiana. Her nominator Tyler Pasche says that “Nu will go above and beyond to make sure our teams’ needs are met.” She is dedicated to making sure our team members and business units have what they need to succeed, deliver results, and win together. Before moving to his new position, Scotty was a Senior Estimator for the team where he supported Beta’s growing proposal requests and headcount. Last year, the Proposal group at Beta underwent substantial growth, and his then collogue, now supervisor Chris Lohman, shared that without Scotty's mentoring, the team wouldn’t be where they are today. “Scotty [took three new estimators] under his wing and has been a major part of their growth and learning.”
