The Crest Industries Culture Corps is a group of team members nominated and recognized by their peers as examples of our Values in action. Each month, one member of the Culture Corps is recognized as a Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers and communities grow beyond what we believe is possible. These Culture Champions receive the “Walkie-Talkie Award” for their commitment to walking the talk and living our our Values every day.
We extend trust, build confidence, and hold each other accountable.
We win when we all win together. We create mutual success and build trusting, lasting relationships.
We are never content with "that's how it's always been done." We question to understand, learn, continuously improve, and innovate.
We ambitiously turn challenges into successes through perseverance, resilience, and a will to win.
Congratulations to our Culture Champion for October, Kristal Ducote! Kristal is the Procurement and Billing Supervisor at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, and she has made an incredible impact on our teams while living our values and inspiring those around her. Kristal was nominated by several people throughout the past few months, and they all commented on her passion, positive attitude, and commitment to our teams and values. Kristal is no stranger to vulnerability and rising to the challenge. From taking on new opportunities to facing personal struggles, her resilience is undeniable, and we are excited to celebrate her example of vulnerability, trust, and perseverance!
Congratulations to Jeannette Corley, Office Specialist at Mid-State Supply, for being inducted into Crest's Culture Corps! She leads by example and is always ready to step in if her teammates need her support. Congratulations to Courtnie Ivy on being inducted to the Crest Industries Culture Corps! Courtnie, Project Support Specialist at Beta, joined the Crest Family earlier this year, and from day one she has been a passionate advocate for the Crest Family. With an eye for continuous improvement, she is not afraid to question “why” and look for innovative ways to solve a problem or reach a goal. Her nominator, Rich Landen, says that she’s done a “magnificent job coming up to speed” and helping the B627 Agile Project. Congratulations and thank you for everything you do for our teams!
Congratulations to Eric White, Production Supervisor for DIS-TRAN Steel Ohio. And both his nominator, Wendy Gintz, and supervisor, Alex Brouillette, share how Eric has stepped up in countless ways to ensure the company’s long-term vision comes to fruition. Industry and product knowledge are incredibly valuable in Steel’s manufacturing processes. Eric recognized the struggles DIS-TRAN Steel Ohio was going through without having someone on-site with the same level of experience we have in Pineville, so he made a huge investment and moved more than 900 miles to Washington Courthouse to help that team grow into the production facility DIS-TRAN Steel needs to be successful. Eric, thank you for being a true example of rising to the challenge. We are incredibly lucky to have you on our team!
Jenny has been with the team for more than 30 years. Her dedication to doing what she says, winning together, and turning challenges into successes is something to be applauded! With teammates across the country and multiple projects happening at once, Jenny goes above and beyond to assist anyone in need at any time.

Each month, we recognize a member of the Culture Corps as Culture Champion for their outstanding efforts to help our teams, customers, and communities grow beyond what they believe is possible, and Josh embodies that within our team. He has been integral in starting up operations and research at Avant Organics. The work he performs in the lab, his dedication and ability to follow through, lead our teams, and rise to meet the challenges and high standards of the industry are inspiring to the team. Wesley Fontenot shared that Josh is a true go-getter and innovative problem solver within the team. He says, “as an R&D chemist, [Josh] represents the heartbeat of this company and continuously provides new ideas [and he’s] a constant source of innovation that is invaluable to Avant and Crest.” Josh, thank you for being a great example of doing the right thing, winning together, and questioning the status quo. Josh is a vital part of our Avant and Crest Family, and we are lucky to have him on our team. Congratulations again!
Each month, we recognize a member of the Culture Corps as CULTURE CHAMPION for their outstanding efforts of living our Values and helping our teams, customers, and communities grow beyond what they believe is possible. For August, our Culture Champion is Herman Norris, Warehouse Leader at Mid-State Supply. The entire Sales Team at MSS came together to nominate Herman and spotlight him for his dedication to living our values in the work he does each day. The team shares that Herman is the go-to example for living out MSS and Crest’s purpose and values – especially while dealing with the demanding requests and unexpected challenges that come with serving Mid-State’s customers.
Congratulations to Laura Jolly Office Manager at Mid-State Supply. Laura was nominated by Jeannette Corley for always pushing her team to grow beyond what they think is possible. She says, “Even when Laura knows how to solve a problem on her own, she brings the team through the problem-solving process with her – so that we too can learn and, in the end, win together.” Crest is so lucky to have you on our team!
Congratulations to Shannon Dauzat, Programmer/Analyst at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations. Shannon was nominated by his supervisor for always bringing a can-do mentality to the team and rising to the challenges that come from handling Epicor. Shannon always keeps a good attitude and doesn’t shy away from the issues or struggles he encounters – rather, Shannon charges the storm. His teammates say that if it wasn’t for Shannon, the team would struggle to get everything done through the help of consultants – limiting DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations’ agility to quickly serve its customers and teams.
Congratulations to Sherri Roy. Sherri is the Proposal Assistant at Beta and was nominated by her teammates to be inducted into Crest's Culture Corps for the month of April. Sherri is in a key position at Beta supporting the busy Beta proposals team and maintaining the filing, organization, contract creation, and administrative duties for the entire department. In line with both Crest and Beta’s values, Sherri does it all with a positive and team-player attitude. She pursues that which challenges her and makes sure the entire team can win together and succeed on an unlimited scale.
Congratulations to Pat Abernathy, Counter Sales Manager at Mid-State. Pat is someone who challenges you to do better every day and will be there for you anytime you need him. Pat was nominated by his teammates who spoke about his talents and compassion as a coworker, supervisor, father, and friend. They say that Pat is one of the best human beings that they know, and many of his teammates would not be who they are today without the help and support from Pat.
